Humber Bay Park Toronto Engagements: Stephanie & Tyler

As soon as it got relatively warm in the city, happened to be the end of April 2014, Stephanie & Tyler and yours truly were out there - taking engagement photographs in Humber Bay Park, Toronto. They are such a lively, easy-going, passionate and loving couple and both are so very excited about their upcoming May 2015 wedding. It will definitely be a grand event with approximately 300 guests expected, honestly, I still cannot believe the scale. The wedding ceremony location will be taking place at Nottawasaga Inn Resort and I cannot stress enough how much I love outdoor ceremonies, mostly for having so much air, freedom and natural beauty. Back to the engagement session with the love birds, they both were the stunners! Stephanie, a photographer herself, make-up artist and amazing mom, made sure she and Tyler looked perfect from head to toe. We used some fun and a bit edgy DIY and ready-to-use props to make trees look a little less bare and the whole scene - more interesting. Please enjoy some April romance, right before we all get swamped by snow all over again.

Love,

-Eva.

Testing New Gear: Westcott 26'' Octa Rapid Box

There is photography gear that is worth every dollar you pay for it. Westcott 26'' Octa Rapid Box Speedlight Kit was one of those amazing purchases. It included: the 26 inch softbox, a deflector plate and 8 ft light stand (not a heavy duty one). From the moment I got it, I'd been carrying it around with me all the time: portrait sessions, engagements, weddings, you name it. It's everything a photographer needs for a one light set-up minus the need to break the bank. The only con, would be the relative instability of a light stand on location, but oh well, a couple of sandbags - crisis averted.
